Welcome to Brookside Kids
We cannot wait to welcome your child into our ministry! Each week your child will experience a safe and fun environment to explore God’s Word and experience His love. It is our desire to partner with parents as we share the call of introducing kids to Christ and helping them grow in their faith.

We provide classes for the following age groups:
NURSERY: Newborn-2yrs old (Nursery upstairs)
PRE-SCHOOL: 3-5yrs old/Pre-K (Kidventure Building)
ELEMENTARY: K-6th grade (Kidventure Building)
Classes
We have children’s activities on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, as well as special events held throughout the year!
Activities
SUNDAY SCHOOL
SUNDAY @ 9AM
Kids will dig into God’s word by engaging in fun and interactive lessons. Four classes are available:
• Pre-school - Pre-K (3 years to 5 years)
• K - 2nd Grade
• 3rd - 4th Grade
• 5th - 6th Grade
Kids Church
Sunday @ 10:15AM
Kids Church is designed to provide children (Preschool, K-6th) with a similar worship experience as the adults, but at their level. Music, games, object lessons, large group teaching, and small group activities all make up our kids worship experience to help them draw closer to the Lord.
Sunday Evening
6PM-7PM
Kids classes are combined on Sunday Evenings. The atmosphere is much more laid back. Kids will still dig into God’s word and have fun interactive lessons. Two classes are available:
• Kids Klub: 3 years - 2nd Grade
• Deep End: 3rd - 6th Grade
Wednesday Evening
6:30PM-8PM
WEDNESDAY evenings During the school year
During the school year (September-May), Brookside Kids implements the Team K.I.D. curriculum (K.I.D. stands for “Kids In Discipleship!”). Team K.I.D. is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and to grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of Team K.I.D. — Bible stories, scripture memory, mission activities, life application, and recreation games — connect to teach life lessons to kids.
Classes are offered for the following age groups:
• Preschool
• K - 2nd Grade
• 3rd - 4th Grade
• 5th - 6th Grade
Wednesday EVENINGS during the Summer
Summer is full of adventures and fun new opportunities. Each Wednesday evening is intentionally planned to engage kids in learning God's word in a creative and experimental way to help them make and apply connections between the Bible lessons and their lives.
During the summer months, all grades (preschool - 6th grade) learn and worship together.
Special Events
Several special events are planned throughout the year, including:
• Vacation Bible School – (Last full week of June)
• Fall Harvest Party/ Trunk-or-Treat
• Christmas
• Easter
Family First Sunday
We believe that it takes family to help cultivate a child's faith. The church and the family MUST work together to raise a generation of children with a heart for God. Family First Sunday is a special worship experience for K-6th grade that is designed for families to engage in worship together. On the first Sunday of every month during our 10:15AM worship service, families are given the opportunity to sing, worship together, pray together, listen to the message together so they can go home and discuss things together. We believe God will move in a mighty way as we TOGETHER disciple our children to follow Jesus no matter what!
*Nursery and Preschool are still available on Family First Sunday for those who wish to use those resources
Your child’s safety is our top priority. That’s why we use a secure check-in system, and all of our Brookside Kids volunteers have been trained and had thorough background checks.
Basics of how check-in works:
• First time visitors fill out information on the computer at the check-in desk
• Once children are checked-in, they are given name tags while adults are given a tag that correlates with children’s for pick up
• Children will be taken to assigned class
• When church is over, children will need to be checked-out on computer
• Parents will present their adult tag to children’s volunteer who will insure they pick up proper child
