Brookside Church was founded in 1973 by Pastor Jack Norman. The first service was held at the Eastern Star Temple in Chillicothe, OH on December 9, 1973. On March 28, 1974, the church board voted to purchase twenty-eight acres of land on Egypt Pike. The Fellowship Building was completed in 1974. Construction of the completed lower portion of the Main Sanctuary building was completed in 1981. The upper level of the Main Sanctuary was completed in 1983.

In 2001, construction was completed on the Brookside Youth Center, and the Fellowship Building was renovated into the Porter Center; home to our senior adult ministry and our food pantry. The Kidventure Building was completed in the fall of 2009.

Over the past four decades, Brookside has grown from a small group of people who met in a rented facility, to a thriving community of Christ-followers offering hope to each other and our community.
